Writers Promote 100 Stories for Haiti at Newcastle University

If you are in Newcastle upon Tyne tomorrow or Friday (March 11/12), pop along to Newcastle University where 100 Stories for Haiti editors and writers Viccy Adams, Sian Harris, and JM Thomas are running a stall to promote the book:

Outside the Student Union on Thursday 11th March, 12.30 - 13.30

The foyer of the DAYSHH building on Thursday 11th March, 15.00 - 16.00

The foyer of the Percy Building on Friday 12th March, 12.00 - 14.00

It's an excellent chance to meet and chat with some of the talent behind this one-of-a-kind anthology.

The blog-until-you-drop web tour revisited

The blog tour was actually a bit harder than I expected. It started out okay. I managed to write posts a few days in advance. Then ... My daughter became ill :-(

Writers with families will know what I am talking about. Writers with toddlers will *definitely* know ... Writing anything is impossible when kids are at home, especially if they are sick.

So the blog-until-you-drop tour, for me, turned into the blog-until-you-drop-because-you-ain't-getting-any-sleep web tour. I pulled a lot of late nights on the blog tour. The only time I really fell behind was on the Monday before the book's publication when I had to send a post to Nick Daws. I actually sent his post Monday afternoon, on the day it was meant to be posted. Other than that, I managed to keep on top of it ... just ...

The tour covered the week up to the publication of 100 Stories for Haiti, and if you missed any of the stops you can catch up here:

You'll be glad to know that my daughter is feeling much better. I still haven't caught up on sleep ... I plan to do that very, very soon.

Blogo

I just switched to Blogo. I have used it before. Just checking how well it works with Squarespace.
